Earlier tonight it was an experience of a lifetime, with some of the legends of Rock: Billy Idol, Dweezil Zappa, Paul Shaffer, Toto’s Steve Lukather and Spinal Tap’s Derek Smalls Live in Concert From The historic Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles as part of an all-star Concert one night only! Earlier tonight rock guitarist, singer and writer: DEREK SMALLS, the bottom force of the fabled heavy metal band formerly known as Spinal Tap – followed by some of Rock’s musical legends blasted onto the stage for this one night only Lukewarm Water Live! tour. Smalls is also a great comedian up on stage, who was again a laugh riot, along with Jane Lynch and others.
This concert that pounded on for almost 2 hours, that had Derek Smalls joined by: live in human form, the creator of such hits as Rebel Yell, Dancing With Myself and White Wedding: Rock Legend: BILLY IDOL- who is in our feature photo with the author of this story- during the VIP After-Party- in The Emerald room of the iconic Wiltern Theater on Wilshire Blvd. and Western in Los Angeles; Toto’s STEVE LUKATHER, Stevie Nicks’ celebrated guitarist WADDY WACHTEL, rock aristocrat DWEEZIL ZAPPA, – who 2 weeks ago we did a story on him where he gave an amazing performance in a concert tribute to the legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix at Harrah’s Casino Resort SoCal that the sold out audience went wild for during this once in-a-lifetime concert, as he did again earlier tonight at the this one night only Lukewarm Water Live Concert; acclaimed singer, composer, actor, author, comedian and multi- instrumentalist, David Letterman’s musical director and partner in crime, PAUL SHAFFER – who you could now see perform at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Cleopatra’s Barge – who we interviewed many times before on our show, going way back to The 1990 Billboard Music Awards at Universal Studios, where Paul was the show Host; and firebrand singer-songwriter and pianist JUDITH OWEN. Also appearing live via satellite, in this explosive celebration of all things loud, was guitar virtuoso STEVE VAI star of Yes and The Strawbs, – who was also part of the recent Hendrix Tribute concert.
