The song used throughout this clip by Elvis Presley that appears on his album is ‘Promised Land’ – 1975. It’s a story song in the first person, telling of a journey from Norfolk, Virginia to the “Promised Land”, Los Angeles, California. The trip is filled with trials and troubles as the protagonist travels multi-modal across the U.S.
