On this TV episode our New York area Sports Reporter for Entertainment & Sports Today TV – Kristal Hart , takes you live to the The Armory in New York City – on 168th Street in Upper Manhattan, for The Armory Track Invitational Presented by United States Marine Corps. Kristal will bring you exclusive interviews with sprinters , and long distance runners from the Pro world class level, College level, and the top national High School level. Kristal Hart is also the TV host of The Kristal Hart show, which is broadcast on Spectrum Cable TV throughout all of New York.

The Armory’s New Balance Track and Field Center , has made some major improvements over the years , from when long distance runner , and Miler Steve Taylor used to run on this indoor track – it was plain old wood – flat all the way around 220 yards. Now the surface has been upgraded with a material that is more conducive for faster times, and world record attempts ! It was at the Millrose Games where Irish Miler great Eamonn Coghlan earned the nickname, “Chairman of the Boards” (because the surface of the track was made of wooden boards).

About The Armory Foundation: The Armory is a New York City non-profit institution, with the mission of “Keeping Kids on Track.” Each season the Armory- the proud home of the NYRR Millrose Games– hosts more than 100 track & field meets and welcomes more than 125,000 athlete visits. Besides its many youth sports and educational programs, The Armory runs the Armory Track Invitational, the U.S. Army Hispanic Games, Artie O’Connor College Invitational, Armory NYC Indoor Marathon, the New Balance Games, and the New Balance Nationals Indoors. The Armory is also the home to the National Track & Field Hall of Fame.
