Miss Universe’s Miss Mexico: Sofia Aragón Stars in “The Night “

At the 28th LA Shorts International Film Festival there was the world movie premiere of “The Night “ a 22 minute film drama from Mexico, That is Produced, Directed, Written, and Stars Sofia Aragon, who also happens to be Miss Mexico: the 2nd runner-up of the 2019 Miss Universe Pageant! On this show our Entertainment Today TV Show Host: Jacqueline Murphy has a great in-depth interview with her on Opening Night that was live from the Regal Cinema in LA Live. Sofia Aragon gives an outstanding performance in the leading role of María, a talented singer, who lives a double life – outwardly successful but inwardly battling abusive relationships and mental health issues. Her tragic demise sheds light on the toll of societal pressures and the importance of self-care and healthy relationships. The short film explores themes of social pressure, mental health, depression, and the pursuit of perfection.
