Hugh Hefner (April 9, 1926 – September 27, 2017) died yesterday Wednesday at his Beverly Hills-area home, the iconic Playboy Mansion, in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles, California, on September 27, 2017, at the age of 91.  Hugh- the legendary  playboy who built a publishing and entertainment giant, died from natural causes, surrounded by loved ones. His swinging Los Angeles party pad will be forever remembered as the Playboy Mansion, where the adult entertainment mogul worked and played for more than 45 years. Hugh was best known as the editor-in-chief of Playboy magazine, which he founded in 1953, and as chief creative officer of Playboy Enterprises, the publishing group that operates the magazine. Hugh was a leader of the 1960’s sexual revolution, and an advocate of sexual liberation and freedom of expression, Hugh was a political activist and philanthropist in several other causes and public issues. Hefner’s next-door neighbor Daren Metropoulos, 33, scion of the Greek billionaire Dean Metropoulos and the co-owner of Twinkies-maker Hostess Brands, bought the sprawling, 20,000-square-foot home in August 2016. He paid a reported $100 million — knocked down from an earlier $200 million asking price. As a stipulation for the sale, Metropoulos agreed to allow Hefner and his wife, Crystal Harris, to continue to live at the estate in the affluent Holmby Hills neighborhood until his death, according to a statement at the time. (Hefner had paid $1.1 million for the property in 1971.)

Metropoulos, who was once photographed at a Playboy Mansion party with Snoop Dogg in 2012, had already bought the sister property next door from Hefner in 2009, and paid $18 million for that 7,300-square-foot home. My news team and I ,were very lucky to be at that very same Playboy Mansion party with Snoop Dogg in 2012 ! Check out our video news segment from that party – so you can see Snoop and a number of other A – List stars from the Movie,TV, Music and Sports Worlds, along with Jamie Foxx and Daren Metropoulos at this once-in-a-lifetime Playboy Party ! Since about 1992 , our TV news outlet was very fortunate and privileged to be invited to many Playboy parties at The Mansion , and other locations on The West Coast, Century City, and New York. For many years Playboy had their amazing “Playboy Wet & Wild Party” at the Wet & Wild Water Park , next to The Sahara Hotel – right on The Strip in Las Vegas. The water park has since been torn down – but the memories have all been saved on many TV shows that we had filmed there. Over the coming weeks , in a tribute to the late great Hugh Hefner we will be re-broadcasting some of those TV shows that we were lucky enough to be there to film , and to experience the best wild parties of all times ! Below 2 photos of Hugh Hefner (C) arriving with playmates to the 35th AFI Life Achievement Award tribute to Al Pacino . Both Hugh and Al were nice enough to stop and give Entertainment Today’s TV show host Margie Rey a great interview on the red carpet at this gala event. & Below those 2 photos is one of the biggest sex symbols of our time- Pamela Anderson and Hugh Hefner : Related image

Hugh was always very friendly with us in person , and when he did interviews for our TV programs. Many events at the Mansion – the money raised went to charity. One time we were very lucky to take a photo with Hugh in his classic bathrobe and smoking jacket, inside his actual living area of his home. Many times at these Playboy Parties , we had the Playboy Playmates, Playboy Bunnies, and Playmates of the Year and Month, work for us as our reporters for our TV shows. One time at The Playboy Mansion, my friend – Playboy Playmate, Actress, Ballroom Dancer:  Barbara Moore, Co-hosted our TV show along with our regular TV Show Host- Margie Rey. Barbara was so nice to take us on an hour long tour of all of the hugh Mansion property ! Margie also was very privileged to be invited to many Playboy Movie Nights at The Mansion , where Hugh, and many of his playmates and celebrity friends would watch one of the Movies that Hugh loved so much. We have priceless memories from The Mansion , and other locations where Playboy parties were held , that we will be sharing with you our viewers on upcoming TV shows, so stay tuned !
