The country of Thailand treated AFM attendees to a fabulous evening brimming with Thai hospitality in the Colonnade Room at the Casa del Mar Hotel. The guests networked and nibbled as waiters circulated the room with trays of traditional Thai appetizers. Soon, the red carpet was cleared and security roped it off while the AFM guests waited in anticipation for the arrival of Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Barnavadi of Thailand.

After an impressive presentation of royal protocol, the princess graciously presided over the evening detailing the list of films that have been made in Thailand as a video ran in the background. The crowd was engaged with her affable and diplomatic narrative of filmmaking in Thailand. Then, a group of young Thai dancers put on a high-energy performance that enchanted the crowd.
Once the princess left for the evening the guests were treated a sumptuous buffet of sticky rice, fried tofu, salmon and Peking duck and endless glasses of wine. Happy AFM participants continued to enjoy the evening networking and making connections into the night. Upon departure, the guests were treated to a beautiful Thai scarf as a parting gift. Overall, it was an informative, sophisticated and wonderful evening. Thank you, Thailand Films, for sharing the beauty and grace of your people and country.
