It was a real thrill and honor to once again in person- hear that world famous and iconic Beatles voice again, greeting the sold-out audience by saying: “Hi I’m Ringo and this is my All-Star band . . .  . Well, I love to play. I love an audience . . . .This is a known fact. I love the audience, they love me. We have fun on tour. That’s what it’s all about. I don’t do this to be miserable. I have a lot of joy. I get a lot of joy and I just love doing it . . . . The joy for me about touring is playing live to an audience with the All Starr Band – so I’m always happy when we can add some more dates. . . . . and I’ll be doing a lot of peace and love in your city soon, May, June, look me up!”

Along with the 80 year old Paul McCartney- the 82 year old Ringo Starr is one of the last 2 living Beatles, and he still has an excellent voice and is in great physical shape. The Beatles are the most famous, biggest, award winning, Grammy Award Winning, world changing, Rock Bands in the world- of all time, if not in all of music, and maybe in the history of Entertainment! The Beatles have more #1 hit songs, charts topping and top 10 hits than any other band or individual singer! So you can imagine how great it is to see him perform live in concert, with a band that truly lives up to the words “All-Star Band” !
The legendary music artists that make up Ringo’s All Starr Band, truly lives up to the words “All-Star ” and all these award winning singers are the leading artists from Rock & Roll’s most famous and biggest bands: Colin Hay (Men at Work), Steve Lukather (Toto), Gregg Rolie (Co-Founded Santana and Journey, and helmed The Storm), Warren Ham (Toto, Kansas, Bloodrock), Gregg Bissonette (Toto, Santana,  and Actor), Hamish Stuart (Average White Band), and Edgar Winter (Edgar Winter Group, The David Lee Roth Band).
Edgar Holland Winter is an American musician. He is a multi-instrumentalist, playing keyboards, guitar, saxophone, and percussion, as well as singing. His success peaked in the 1970s with his band the Edgar Winter Group and their popular songs “Frankenstein” and “Free Ride” which were both played during this concert! Edgar currently plays with Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band, and used to be with: The David Lee Roth Band, and his brother: Johnny Winter is also a major artist. In fact one time I was lucky enough to be at the Grammy Awards to get my photo taken with Grammy winner: Edgar Winters!

On this show: Ringo and his All-Star Band perform some of the Beatles iconic classic hit songs including:  Yellow Submarine, that John Lennon and Paul McCartney had wrote, and “I’m The Greatest” –written by John Lennon- that Ringo said: “was from my good friend John” and With a Little Help from My Friends,  It Don’t Come Easy, Octopus’s Garden, Act Naturally, Come Together, “It Don’t Come Easy” and “Photograph” -Song by Ringo Starr, Give Peace a Chance by John Lennon and Plastic Ono Band;  along with many other chart topping hit songs from these Rock & Roll Legends- All-Starr Band: “Rosanna” and “Africa”, from Toto,  “Frankenstein” and “Free Ride” by Edgar Winters,  “I’ll Be Your Man” (Song for a Daughter)- Song by the Zac Brown Band, Johnny B. Goode” first recorded by Chuck Berry in 1958, and “Down Under ” by the Australian singing legend: Colin Hay!

This was filmed from the VIP suite reception area and balcony, with a great view of the concert outside of the Sunset Room at Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay in San Diego, California. So we were “styling” as we watched Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band perform live from a balcony that had a little table built in the front on top, to enjoy food and drinks – complements of the Sponsor: Valley View Casino & Hotel! It was a great experience that my friends and I will always remember! So stay tuned for more from this amazing concert!
From the sponsor: Valley View Casino & Hotel, we were very lucky enough to get VIP tickets with great seats to see this great live concert, that was held in downtown San Diego, California, on the beautiful, scenic, and tropical: Shelter Island, which is almost like an Island surrounded with water on 3 sides, right next to San Diego Bay and the Pacific Ocean, at the beautiful picture postcard perfect – outdoor theatre:  Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay.
Towards the beginning of this concert Ringo Starr joked about all the boat owners that are docked only about 20 feet from the stage, that gives them a complete view of the stage, so they can see the whole concert for free from their Yachts!  My friend Greg has a Yacht right in this prime- high demand area, so he can see all the concerts he wants from there almost everyday, but he was happy to join me with one of my 2 tickets from the inside, and from the VIP area! However, I was not able to get a 3rd ticket for my other Friend Sam- so Greg gave him a great spot right on the Dock with a perfect view of the concert stage, as you can see him waving to us in the below photos:
This was a once in a lifetime experience, and we suggest that you also live this experience and see Ringo Starr and his amazing band soon, in a city near you, as part of his 2023 world tour:
